Our Purpose
The original articles of incorporation state that the purpose of the Wisconsin Underground Contractors Association is to:
- Promote the business of the individual members and to advance their mutual interest
- Cultivate friendly relations and cooperative effort between members
- Participate in matters of civic betterment and welfare
- Create harmony between its members and employees
- Eliminate unnecessary hazards to life and property
- Encourage the use of sound business practices
- Deal with bid specifications
- Promote the betterment of the industry
Membership Types
WUCA offers three different levels of membership, all of which offer many benefits such as:
- Quality safety & business-related educational seminars
- Industry newsletter
- An opportunity to dialogue with other industry people
- A full time professional association executive director who is also an attorney
- Liaison with government, business and utilities
- Legislative Initiatives
- Web site featuring links to other members and governmental agencies
- Availability of scholarship awards for family members and your employees
- An excellent variety of special events such as the Contractor/Engineer/Associate Luncheon, Annual Fundraiser Night, Golf Outing and out-of-state Midwinter Conference
A Regular Contractor membership includes all the above along with the following added services:
- Frequent competent person, confined space, safety seminars with instructors willing to conduct classes at your location
- Monthly safety directors meetings, minutes and safety consultant services
